Can I give my kid a number for a name?

Probably depends upon the state, province or other jurisdiction you are in: some places have tighter controls over these matters than others!! However, as the first responder asked: why would you want to??? You'd be setting your child up for a lifetime of teasing and wondering why he or she was only thought good enough to have a number instead of a name!! The song "A Boy named Sue" comes to mind (Johnny Cash).
