Few problems ?

First of all, tell your friend that if you wanted these boys to know you liked them then you will tell them yourself. You can have a relationship with boys without them liking you in that way. Maybe he was upset because you felt that way about him but he didn't feel that way about you and he didn't want you thinking he liked you more than just friends. Try talking to the boy and tell him that you are sorry if you or your friend upset him or offended him but you would rather have his friendship than nothing at all.
