In the novel the Great Gatsby, why was it easier for Daisy to stay with Tom and not go back with Gatsby?

because daaisy hadn't seen gatsby in over 5 years. she had moved on, and started a new family w/ kids. whereas GAtsby was stuck in a false reality. He felt his materialistic possessions (ex. mansion, rolls royce) would win over daisy, and he was wrong. he was stuck in the past, but daisy moved forward.
