An idiot's embarring mistake...?

if u guys have read my previous query about this guy who cut off communication for me bec he has a crush on my sis who doesnt want to connect with him and might not know about this guys crush on her. A few years back i kinda liked this guy and then now im really falling for him but since he decided to cut connection with me also i wanted to tell him that i liked him and i made i text message to him telling himi like him which i wasnt planning to send him yet but i accedentally did. We have a 4yr gap in age and he replied "u're 2 young to be talking about love.". i felt so stupid and ashamed and bec i didnt want to break our friendship i txted him back that it was just a joke.i dont want to loose him and though im quite sure that we wont b seeing eachother sometime soon i feel so stupid to mess up via txt mesage.now he dsnt reply. what do i do when im still falling for him and i thought it would be esy forgetting him wen he said he'll be gne now but then txtd me again w/ sweet nothings!
